Jerry Sullivan headed up the effort to rewrite the Broward Edition of the South Florida Building Code in light of the problems found from hurricane Andrew. Sullivan & Associates Engineering worked with a major insurance company in designing a residence that can withstand wind loads far in excess of those required by any of the building codes; and witnessed numerous test of hurricane protection products developed after hurricane Andrew.
